Are your hands super dry, tight, thirsty, or crying for moisture? I get it. With all the additional handwashing it can quickly take a toll on our skin. Applying lotion alone may not be enough.
Here’s a quick easy to make DIY hand scrub to get some of the dead skin off and allow your favorite moisturizer, lotion, or cream to penetrate better.
1 tsp coffee grounds
3 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp – coconut oil, avocado oil, or olive oil
Mix together and rub (massage it in) on dry hands. Pat dry and apply your lotion. You may also want to consider using a thicker sealant during this time to keep the moisture in such as Eucerin, Aquaphor, or Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream.
If possible, apply a thick layer of cream on your hands at night and apply white cotton gloves.
This treatment can also be used on the feet.
Now you have clean, soft and moisturized hands. By the way don’t forget that sunscreen! It’s great anti aging protection from the sun.
Until tomorrow…..be safe and soft👐🏾👐🏽👐🏻
