Die with Your Memories, Not Unfulfilled Dreams.

I know this one starts off kind of morbid, but it is an inevitable truth.  We are all going to die.  We don’t know when or how but it’s going to happen- to all of us.

Meanwhile, while we are living, we come and go each day filling our day with “stuff”.  Some of you are living your dream.  Others have stuffed their dream deep down. Mostly, I find people’s dreams get stuffed down due to fear.  Fear of failure.  Fear of what others will say.  Fear. Fear. Fear.  It can be crippling.

I know because this has happened to me.

We all have deep desires and dreams.  I’m talking about the stuff that lingers in your mind and heart for sometimes months, years, decades that makes you heart smile.  The ideas that not only lingers but tugs at your soul, time and time again.

But what if

What if you took a bet on yourself?  What if you took a chance?  What if you succeed?  Scary, I know.  But the good kind of scary.  The anticipation of what the future could bring.

It will not be all smooth sailing.  There will be setbacks.  There will be disappointments.  All failure is really a learning experience you can apply towards getting it right the next time.

Even if you don’t succeed or you end up doing something else, having the memories of the attempts will make you proud.

Here’s the kicker though.  You’ve got to start.  You actually have to put it all in motion.

Start wherever you are.

Don’t even entertain thinking about yesterday or time that has passed.   You can’t cry over spilt milk and be productive.  Yesterday and the past is gone…leave it there.

Start today.

If you are dreaming of better health or improved fitness…start small and start today.

If you are dreaming of being a business owner…start small and start today.

If you are dreaming of a better relationship…start small and start today.

No matter your dream.  No matter if you’ve failed in the past or if you’ve never started…you can have a fresh start and begin today.  Look in your heart, your bucket list, your private aspirations and take that chance- begin.

I know for me I am praying for a long, healthy prosperous life.  At the end of it, I want to look back with lots of memories and very few or no unfulfilled dreams.

Until next time.

Be Polished.  Be Alluring.  Be Elegant.  Be You.

Be Unapologetically You.

  1. Love it. You are spot on. We have so many what if’s???? That we never do because of fear. Wonderful read.
